  • Acquired a waterfront residential property development project in Beijing.
2007
  • The office building at Wing Hing Street was transferred to Asia Standard Hotel Group Limited and will be converted into a Hotel.

  • Grosvenor Place has won the MIPIM award, the first Asian residential development to receive this honour.
  • Sale of Grosvenor Place in Repulse Bay.
  • Opening of J.V. office with Grosvenor in Shanghai

  • Invested in a development project in Shenzhen

  • Empire Hotel Kowloon, a 315 rooms new hotel at the heart of Tsimshatsui, was completed and commenced operation
2000
  • Spun off the hotel operation into a separately listed company, Asia Standard Hotel Group Limited (code:292), in Hong Kong Stock Exchange
  • Formed J.V. with Grosvenor and Ayala (Phils) to develop luxury tower in Repulse Bay, HK
1999
  • Grosvenor group, an international property group headed by the Duke of Westminster of the U.K., took 15% stake as a strategic partner (2 nd major shareholder of the Group)
1998
  • Became a constituent stock of Hang Seng Mid-Cap 50 index in April and in the Hang Seng 100 index in November
1997
  • Acquired the Landmark Hotel in Vancouver, Canada. The hotel has 358 rooms, three food and beverage outlets and a large convention centre.

  • Invested in a development project in Beijing
  • Started Hotel Business by acquiring Empire Hong Kong Hotel (then known as Evergreen Plaza Hotel) in Wanchai, Hong Kong
